Women empowerment in Sfera Fall/Winter 2017

Taking inspiration from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, Spanish brand Sfera has created a collection for the Fall/Winter 2017 season for Women.  With Female Empowerment as its theme, four main trends encompass the collections: Romantic Victorian, Office, Modern Artisan, and Rock ‘n Roll.

Organic print, ruffle details, and pastel hues make up the Romantic Victorian collection. The female essence is showcased in swing skirts in soft material, as well as in more structured garments like the leather motorcycle jacket in a bubblegum pink tone, and a ruffle detail. A mixture of textures is created in which the lingerie touch is provided by satin dresses.

The minimalist trend features strongly in this winter collection, representing a modern woman who plays with the androgynous look. The Office collection includes pantsuit coordinates in herringbone and British checkered tailoring, which evolve into the New Classic. The collection is made up of neutral colors—mainly white, black, navy, grey—and evokes minimalism reminiscent of the ‘90s period. Shift dresses are worn over pants and the white polo neck jumper is a collection must-have from the Fashion Essentials.

Achieve a romantic Victorian look with printed, ruffled dress worn with a long red coat, and polished off with black tights and kitten-heeled mules.

The Modern Artisan collection embodies a mix of ‘70s hues in bold reds and yellows, mixed with the textures of thick furs, crochet, Mayfair embroideries, studs, and velvet. Camel is a color daringly worn as a set of coordinates and is reminiscent of the cowgirl in suede materials and patchwork.

Band-age and the boldest looks from the early ‘90s era are mostly evident in statement shirts and graphic tees, as well as long coats with a plastic, sheen finish and darker, androgynous looks. Red takes on a special importance in the Rock ‘n Roll collection, the star color in the upcoming months for emphatic garments that will refine any type of look. This color is most seen in the collection’s must-have: the flared red midi skirt. Shoulders and sculptural, exaggerated sleeves add a modern touch to classic tailored garments, which are combined with ultra-feminine garments to generate an unprecedented voluminous silhouette.

Sfera, under Spain’s renowned El Corte Ingles Group, focuses on quality, constant renewal, variety in its collections, and customer service.
