Dr. Hermogenes P. Villareal, a seasoned and highly accomplished Filipino dental specialist, will take part in the International Council Meeting of the International College of Dentists (ICD) in Taipei, Taiwan from November 11-12.
ICD, with headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, is the world’s oldest and largest honor society for dentists who work to improve the profession through sharing and disseminating advances in dental knowledge and who seek to benefit their communities through voluntary service.
The annual meeting will be spearheaded by the governing body of the ICD, the 40-member International Council which will collaborate accelerated discussions, analyses and resolution-making for two days.
Represented in the meeting will be all the 14 Sections of the College from around the world which include the ICD Section IX, Philippine Section, represented by ICD International Councilor and Dr. Villareal.
All officers will review the past year’s activities worldwide, discuss reports from all task leaders and committees, deliberate on new initiatives, exchange experiences with humanitarian, educational and other ICD projects and formulate action items and directives that will guide the global organization for the coming year.
One of the highlights of the meeting will be the election of the International Officers who will steer the world’s oldest and largest honor society for dentists.
