UnionBank hopes to redefine banking as we know it with the intersection of banking and technology in its new facility called The Ark, a new concept branch it dubs as “the bank of the future.”
Located at the ground floor of the Insular Life building along Ayala corner Paseo de Roxas in Makati, the uses digital technology to augment an actual banking experience.
The Ark opens up with the Auto Loans Week, featuringspecial deals and promos for car loan applicants. It also boasts of an exclusive Virtual Reality Showroom, the first in the Philippine banking industry, where prospective car buyers get the unique experience of trying premium cars using VR with the hope of providing clients with more informed decisions when buying their cars.
Another first for Auto Loans is the latest collaboration between UnionBank and Cebu Pacific where UnionBank customers who avail of a loan can automatically earn GetGo points that will allow them to fly to their favorite local or regional destinations via Cebu Pacific.
“This is the bank where brick meets click” said Julian Aboitiz, Customer Experience Manager of UnionBank. “The Ark is where the shift happens from a transactional space to an interactional experience. Itis the only concept branch where you don’t have to fall in line or get numbers before you get serviced. Instead, what The Ark has are highly-trained bank ambassadors who are able to provide personalized service to all clients, “he said.
Aside from the Auto Loans Week, The Ark will also have a Home Loans Week, Travel Week, Gadgets and Technology Week and its much-anticipated launch this November.
