MANILA, Philippines — The cast of well-loved Netflix Original “Stranger Things” spread charm as they trooped the red carpet of their second season premiere.

The “Stranger Things 2” premiere was held at the Westwood Village Theater in Los Angeles and was attended by most of its cast.

The second season of the widely-followed series is set in 1984.

In this season, the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

“Stranger Things 2” stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Dacre Montgomery as Billy, Sadie Sink as Max, Sean Astin as Bob Newby, Paul Reiser as Dr. Owens.

Besides the Los Angeles premiere, 13 other countries simultaneously held a global premiere, including the Philippines, which is the sole country to hold the premiere in Southeast Asia. The Manila premiere was held at the Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
