The Quad-Camera Equipped Gionee S10 Is Now Official

Hello, Four Eyes!

A couple of weeks back, you may remember leaks for a phone by Gionee that had dual rear cameras and dual front cameras as well, the S10. The smartphone with a total of four cameras was finally launched in China on May 27, so it’s time to look at what the phone has going for it aside from from the quad cams. And, yes, it does look a lot like the iPhone 7 Plus.

The Gionee S10 is a 5.5-inch smartphone that has a Helio P25 processor running the show, paired with 6GB of RAM; seemingly a staple for flagship phones coming out of China these days. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with Amigo OS on top of it. All of this is powered by a 3450 mAh battery, which should last you throughout the day.

For now, let’s have a look at the spec sheet of the Gionee S10.

Undoubtedly, the highlight for the Gionee S10 are its cameras. While other smartphone brands may have doubled up on either the front or the rear camera, Gionee decided to slap four cameras on the S10. You’re getting a 16-megapixel plus an 8-megapixel camera for rear shooters, while you’ll be taking selfies with a 20-megapixel plus 8-megapixel front camera. As for how they actually perform, we found these sample photos and as expected we’re seeing a ton of software-assisted bokeh.

The Gionee S10 has been given a price tag of CNY 2,599, or Php 18,884, and is available in the following color variants: Cherry Gold, Dark, Black, and Primrose Green.
