The Philippines is in for a treat in One Championship: Legends of the World event, happening later at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The blockbuster fight card will feature the champion vs champion main event pitting hometown favorite and lightweight titleholder Eduard Folayang against featherweight champion Martin Nguyen.

Aside from that, Team Lakay’s Danny Kingad will have a shot to become the third Filipino One Championship titleholder when he goes up against flyweight champion, Adriano Moraes.

With all the champions in one place, there is another one in current middleweight champion Aung La N Sang.

“One of my teammates, Kevin Chung, is going to be fighting Kevin Belingon,” said N Sang on why he is here in Manila.

“The Burmese Python” is fresh off a successful Open Weight Super-Bout against Alain Ngalani. He took out “The Panther” in the first round with a Guillotine choke a week ago.

More than just rooting for his teammate, N Sang is also excited to be merely a spectator in the Manila fight card.

“I am here to help my teammate out but I also want to see the whole fight card. Adriano Moraes and Kingad – that will be a good fight. Folayang and Nguyen, I know both of them. Both very tough fighters and they have been fighting their whole life. It is an honor to see them live.”

Still fresh in his memory, N Sang knows what it was like fighting in front of the hometown crowd. He knows what Folayang went through and will be getting into.

“To win is amazing. But with hometown crowd, there are expectations, pressure and you have to block that out,” N Sang said. “The crowd cheering for you is extra motivation and strength. I know Folayang is going to use that.”
