Butuan City – Tectonic earthquakes jolted Bukidnon and Sultan Kudarat provinces, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
However, the mild tectonic earthquakes that struck the provinces did not inflict any damage or injury, the state agency said.
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said a 3.6 magnitude tremor was registered at 11:36 a.m. on Saturday (Nov. 11).
The epicenter was plotted 10 kilometers (km) southeast of Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat province, it said.
The tremor had a depth of only 6 km.
Intensity IV was recorded at the town proper of Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat and Intensity lll was registered in Sto. Niño, South Cotabato while Intensity ll was in Lake Sebu, also of South Cotabato province, Phivolcs said.
Phivolcs instrumental intensity also registered Intensity lll in Koronadal City.
On the other hand, a 2.2 magnitude earthquake was also recorded at 8:31 p.m. on this same day (Nov. 11), the state agency said.
The epicenter was traced only 3 km southeast from Kadingilan, in Bukidnon province, with a depth of 32 km, Phivolcs.
No aftershocks were raised by the state agency in Sultan Kudarat and Bukidnon provinces.
The provincial disaster risk reduction and management councils in said provinces reported no damage or injury.
