Krizziah Tabora ruled the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Mexico over the weekend.
Krizziah Tabora distinguished herself in the elite league of Filipino bowlers.
Tabora joined the likes of keg legends Paeng Nepomuceno and Bong Coo after conquering the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Mexico over the weekend.
A third seed after the qualifying games, Tabora bested Malaysian Siti Safiyah in an all-Asia final, 236-191, to give the Philippines the country’s eight World Cup title.
Tabora scored strikes in frames five to nine to build a good cushion against her rival.
“I know people at home have been watching on the live streaming, and I’ve already got lots of notifications from friends and family,” a delighted Tabora told the QubicaAMF website.
“It has been a good year for me,” added Tabora, who bested Colombian Rocio Restrepo in the semifinals, 249-222. “Our ladies team won bronze in the SEA Games, and then we got silver in the Asian Indoor Games. But this is far and away, the best.”
Aside from Tabora, Nepomuceno and Coo, Lita dela Rosa and CJ Suarez were the other Pinoys who bagged the World Cup titles.
