MORE THAN 70 photos by 11 sports photographers in Negros Occidental and Iloilo were featured in the Department of Tourism (DOT)-6 Photo Exhibit, Nov. 25-27, 2017, at SM City Bacolod Northwing.

Dubbed “Images of Western Visayas as Sports Tourism Destination,” the 3-day activity is the first DOT-6 sponsored photo exhibit in Western Visayas.

The photos featured the region’s sports events and facilities and its capability to host sports activities in the hope of attracting local and foreign tourists.

DOT-6 Regional Director Helen Catalbas, SM City Bacolod PR Manager May Castro and DOT M.I.C.E Organizer Toots Jimenez Jr. led the opening of the exhibit.

“We thank the sports tourism photographers in the region for initiating this project and I have asked Toots (Jimenez) to bring this exhibit around the region,” Catalbas said.
