SARABIA JEWELRY will add more glitter to the golden year of the world renowned Dinagyang festival in 2018 by designing and creating an iconic crown for the winner of Miss Dinagyang 2018.

This as Sarabia Jewelry represented by lead designer Regine Sarabia Espinosa and Miss Iloilo Dinagyang pageant chair Alex Soncio signed an agreement on the crafting of a majestic crown which symbolizes Ilongga beauty and grace.

The signing was held at the Farm to Table restaurant at Iloilo Business Park, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

Ms. Espinosa is a third generation metal smith of the Sarabia clan and a graduate of Alchimia, a contemporary jewellery school based in Florence, Italy.

She showed us a glimpse of two possible designs for the crown. Ilonggos can then vote via the Facebook page of Sarabia Jewelry which of the design will become the crowning glory of the 2018 Miss Dinagyang.

Voting runs from Aug 21 to Sept 1, 2017.

“The crown, which my daughter Regine designed and will personally execute, is a traditional symbolic form representing a glittering royalty carved with real gems and metals that are closely linked to the culture and history of Iloilo,” said Madame Gina Sarabia-Espinosa.

Present during the event was Madame Gina’s better half, Iloilo City Vice Mayor Joe Espinosa III.

The winning design will be announced on Sept 1 and will be unveiled during Regine Espinosa’s much awaited jewelry exhibit in October 2017 at Museo Iloilo.

PAY WHAT YOU WANT…

WE enjoyed brunch at the popular Bluejay Coffee & Co.’s latest “Pay what you want” event at the Medical City branch dahlings!

Welcoming us was of course Bluejay Managing Director Arlene Juantong.

The debonair Angelo Jethro del Rosario, Bluejay’s marketing manager, excitedly introduced to us their latest to-die-for cuisines.

“Today, we give you the privilege to be the first to try our new menu and hope you enjoy the foods and please don’t hesitate to tell us your thoughts,” Mr. del Rosario said.

Our taste buds came to life when we tried the Chicken Roulade with Corn Shitake Sauce Supreme, the Pan-Seared Salmon with Lemon Garlic Aioli, the Braised Pork Belly Kakuni, and the Chateaubriand Tenderloin Steak.

Ms. Arlene Juantong said, “Our aim is to serve simply great food and coffee any time of the day.”

And cheers to that dahlings!
