San Agustin rules 2017 ASAM

THE University of San Agustin athletes and creative talents paced the sports and cultural contests of the 2017 Augustinian Schools Athletic Meet (ASAM), from Oct 23 – 28, 2017, hosted by the Colegio San Agustin – Biňan.

On the first day of the weeklong event, the USA – Iloilo Basketball Secondary cagers won the opening game against La Consolacion College – Manila, 81-51.

The winning streak continued on the second day as Augustinian singers were adjudged champion in the vocal solo contest for the elementary and tertiary levels, and the vocal duet contest for elementary, secondary and tertiary levels.

ASAM is a gathering of Augustinian schools in the country every two years to foster unity and friendship through sports and other activities.

Themed “One Vision, One Legacy,” this year’s ASAM featured the sports skills and creative talents of the Augustinian member-schools, namely, Colegio del Santo Niño de Cebu, Colegio San Agustin-Biñan, Colegio San Agustin-Mati, La Consolacion College – Bacolod, La Consolacion College – Novaliches, La Consolacion University Philippines – Malolos, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (Bacolod), San Jose Catholic School (Iloilo), University of San Jose Recoletos (Cebu), and the USA – Iloilo.
