MANILA – Rhian Ramos revealed she initially had a difficult time getting to know Zanjoe Marudo when they started working on their movie “Fallback.”

Speaking to ABS-CBN News on Saturday, Ramos said she didn’t know how to approach Marudo because he’s a very quiet person.

“Feeling ko napaka-mysterious niya. Hindi siya nagsasalita. Minsan kahit kinakausap ko, magbibigay siya ng one word answer,” she said,

Ramos said they only broke the ice when she asked Marudo about golf.

“I asked him about golf and then he talked for a good 20 minutes. So he really likes golf. Siguro nakaka-relate lang ako dahil there are sports na I like to spend time away from work just for that. It’s important to you because it’s passion. Naka-relate ako na yung love niya for golf is like my love for racing,” she said.

Ramos, however, regrets that she and Marudo only got closer when their movie was about to end already.

“Later on, siguro dahil sa mga nangyayari sa mga eksena, magkukuwento na rin kami kung paano kami nakaka-relate sa mga character. Nung pinaka-last day, that’s when I felt pa the closest to him. Nung natapos yung movie, instant sepanx kasi medyo nanghinayang ako ng konti na kung kelan patapos na, doon pa kami naging tight,” she said.

Meanwhile, Marudo only has good words for Ramos.

“Sobrang gaan niya katrabaho. Siyempre sa umpisa, kapaan pa kasi first time ko siya na-meet. Ang gaan, pinadali niya yung trabaho ko, yung eksena, light man iyan or mabigat or romantic. Ang galing niya umarte,” he said.

Written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana and co-produced by Star Cinema, “Fallback” will open in cinemas on November 15.
