Photography suppliers and sponsors recently held a final meeting to complete details for the annual international photographers’ conference and photography trade show during PhotoWorld Asia 2018. The event is scheduled on Feb. 1-6 at the Glorietta Ayala Malls for the trade show and at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati for the conference.
This is the 32nd edition of the largest and longest-running photography event in the Philippines, held continuously since 1987 under the auspices of the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF). The event carries on the tradition of the National Photography Week under Presidential Proclamation No. 2156 signed on January 20, 1982 at the initiative of the now-defunct Professional Photographers Association of the Philippines (PPAP).Proclamation 2156 recognized photography’s contribution in nation-building.
In the photography trade show at the Glorietta Activity Center, photography suppliers and camera makers are expected to display their latest products, offering them at greatly discounted prices. The photographers’ conference at the AIM will bring together noted professional photographers who will share their experience and expertise with attendees.
