MANILA, Philippines – Batangas proved too much for Zark’s Burger as it registered a 124-84 rout on Tuesday in the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Cedrick Ablaza scored 14 of his 16 points in Batangas’ 39-point third quarter, while also adding seven rebounds.
Batangas hiked its record to 4-1, staying within striking distance of league-leading Flying V (4-0).
With the Batangueños trailing, 41-26, in the first half, Ablaza triggered the huge third quarter run as the rest of his teammates followed suit, opening up a dominant 81-67 lead at the end of the period.
