“Strong macroeconomic fundamentals and rising disposable income have attracted many foreign retail brands to set up shop in the Philippines. This has propelled economic growth as well as created more jobs across this sector,” said Sanjay Modi, Managing Director, Monster.com – APAC and Middle.

Drilling down to the occupational groups, Software, Hardware, Telecom talent was most in demand with 12 percent year-on-year growth in online hiring in September. This was also the steepest annual growth witnessed since April 2017.

Demand for professionals in the Health Care sector, on the other hand, continued to plunge to occupy the lowest position amongst all occupational groups, at a 6 percent year-on-year decline.
