Senior Inspector Allan Abaquita, chief of Paranaque police investigation unit, identified the suspect as Renato Caballero, 30, of Barangay BF Homes, Paranaque.

Initial investigation revealed PO1 Jeffrey Lucas, assigned at Paranaque Police Community Precinct (PCP)-7, was on his way to work around 7:30 a.m. when four traffic enforcers sought help from him because of Caballero who had gone wild along President’s Avenue, BF Homes.

Man’s body dumped in Cainta

A decomposing body of a man was found sealed in a plastic bag near a canal in Cainta, Rizal.

A report reaching Rizal PNP showed that the discovery of the body resulted when the canal located along Sumulong Highway became clogged because of the flooding.

Officer on the case SPO1 Jeffrey Azueta said Gerry Apolinario — an employee of an ice plant — tried to remove the plastic but it was suddenly damaged and he saw the protruding head of a person, prompting him to report said incident to the authorities.

Police said the unidentified victim had a bullet wound in the chest.

Authorities said there is a possibility that the victim was thrown in the area to mislead investigators.

“Possible na mga two to three days siya. Di pa natin masyado matiyak kung ano ba talaga, kung na-execute siya or what,” said Azueta.

Police are still trying to know the identity of the victim. (Madelynne Dominguez)
