‘My Husband’s Lover’ and ‘Carmela’ on Thai TV


Four of GMA Network’s biggest artists – Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez, Dennis Trillo, and Alden Richards – flew to Bangkok, Thailand recently for the launch and to promote the first-ever GMA dramas that will be aired in that country.

Through the successful partnership between GMA’s program syndication arm GMA Worldwide, Inc. and Thailand-based JKN Global Media, Thai audience will now enjoy the well-loved Filipino drama series My Husband’s Lover and Carmela.

The GMA stars visited Thailand on Nov. 5 to 8 for their the television appearances and also to grace JKN’s biggest and most glamorous event for 2017, JKN Mega Showcase: Diamond Gold.

Carla, Dennis, and Tom were reunited to promote their groundbreaking 2013 Kapuso primetime series My Husband’s Lover – the story of a wife and her husband’s scandalous affair with his male best friend. It was the very first gay-themed TV series in the Philippines, which earned various awards and commendations for the actors’ powerful and outstanding performances. The drama was also acclaimed for its honest and artistic portrayal of homosexuality, homophobia, and infidelity.

Joining the trio in Thailand was Alden Richards, the leading man in the 2014 drama series Carmela with Marian Rivera-Dantes.

To date, JKN has acquired over 700 hours of GMA’s top-rating afternoon and primetime dramas.
