San Andres, Manila – San Juan Wattah Wattah managed to escape the Manila All-Stars, 83-76, to advance to the Northern Division finals.

Manila got off to a good start, outscoring San Juan in the first quarter. King Genrey Astrero pulled Wattah Wattah back in the game in the second quarter, scoring 11 of his 16 points to give his team an 8 point lead by half time.

Kimberly Olmoguiz turned it on in the third quarter by leading the Manila Charge, scoring 7 of his 11 points to give the lead back to the All-Stars heading into the final period.

In the end, it was John Kenneth Zamora drilling back-to-back three pointers to put San Juan back on top and seal the victory.

Julian Lugo led San Juan with 19 points and 8 rebounds while Astrero had a double-double performance with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Bryan Santos was the best player for Manila with 19 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks.

In the first game, the MMDA Black Beret downed Las Pinas Home Defenders, 90-79, to punch their ticket to the Southern Division Finals.

The Black Berets held the Home Defenders to as low as 4 points in the second quarter and managed to build a 35-point lead in the fourth quarter to pull away with a blowout victory.

Steven Andres had a double-double performance for MMDA with 23 points and 11 assists while Jeremy Deles added 18 points.
Kim Aurin had 21 points and 9 rebounds for Las Pinas but was forced into 9 turnovers. Edgar Louie Charcos also had a 20-point performance along with 6 assists and 4 rebounds.
