Here is a list of areas that have declared a suspension of classes on Thursday, July 27, due to inclement weather brought by tropical storm “Gorio”.

At 4 a.m. today, the Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) located tropical storm “Gorio” at 595 km, east-northeast of Casiguran, Aurora, or 625 east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

It has maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h.

The weather bureau also reported that a southwest monsoon is affecting Luzon and Western Visayas.

Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon CALABARZON and the provinces of Mindoro and Palawan will experience monsoon rains which may cause flash floods and landslides.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Visayas and the regions of Cagayan Valley, Bicol and the provinces of Marinduque and Romblon.
Mindanao, on the other hand, will experience isolated rainshowers or thunderstorm due to Gorio.
