Dearest Editor,

I salute the Armed Forces for giving merit award for the 5 soldiers who fought to retake the Marawi City from the terrorists.

It is indeed one of the best ways that they could give to the soldiers for offering their lives as they fight against the Maute group. This award really honors their bravery and greatness.

Honoring them awards is also one of the best things AFP can do to boost their morale.Another thing that this article captured me is that, as the retired Armed Forces chief of staff,  Efren Abu stated “But make no mistake. Technology cannot replace a soldier.

It only improves his war-fighting ability.” I agree on his statement because the only thing that the technology can do is to help our soldiers for the betterment of their abilities.

Soldiers are soldiers in which nothing can replace.

Mackie Lorenzo Sto. Tomas

Dear Editor,

China donates P65 million for medical care of Marawi troops. This only shows that our President is really an effective one. Through his expert diplomat, our country benefits from his expertise and wisdom which results to the friendship of Philippines with other countries.

With this effort of the President, countries like China offers and giving their help when we are in times of need. As a Filipino, I am showing my deepest gratitude for the help that the China gave.

We Filipinos are very thankful for the help that you gave for the wounded soldiers who fought and are still fighting for the peace in Marawi City. We Filipinos, thank you.
