With two major tournaments happening in the next couple of months, three if we count the Jones Cup, Gilas Pilipinas is starting to make some necessary adjustments to its team.
Head coach Chot Reyes announced on Twitter Friday that the national team will resume practice on June 20, the first activity for Gilas after winning the 2017 SEABA Championships last month.
Reyes also revealed that Kobe Paras, Kiefer Ravena, Raymar Jose, and Fil-German standout Christian Standhardinger have been called to action to join Gilas pool members Jio Jalalon, Mike Tolomia, Almond Vosotros, Ed Daquioag, RR Pogoy, Matthew Wrigt, Von Pessumal, Kevin Ferrer, Carl Cruz, and Fonz Gotladera.

Paras, who recently transferred to Cal State Northridge after one season with Creighton, will represent the Philippines with Kiefer in the FIBA 3×3 World Cup in France later this month.
Raymar Jose was originally part of that team but is now seeing action in the PBA D-League.
The new name is Standhardinger who is currently seeing action in Germany after a stint in the NCAA Division 1.
Gilas will play in the 2017 FIBA-Asia Cup on August 8-20 in Lebanon. A team that is similar to the one that saw action in the SEABA championships will most probably travel to Beirut.
The 2017 SEA Games, scheduled for August 19-30 in Indonesia will also require a Philippine team although cadets are expected to make up that lineup.
Another tournament that Gilas is eyeing on joining is the 2017 Jone Cup in Taiwan that will start on July 29 and will run until August 2.
