MANILA – Geryk Genasky Aguas is preparing to fly to Qatar to be with his ex-wife, actress Isabelle Granada, who has yet to wake up from a coma.
But first, he made sure to reach out to Granada’s current husband, Arnel Cowley, to avoid overstepping his boundaries.
At siyempre, para sa ating pagkakaisa, ‘yung paggising muli ni Isabel,” Aguas recalled in his interview on radio DZMM on Monday. “Na-appreciate naman daw niya ‘yung aking mensaheng iyon.”
Aguas and Granada have a 14-year-old son named Hubert. He said Hubert and Granada’s mother, Guapa, have been asking him to be with them in Qatar as they go through a difficult time in their life.
When asked by radio DZMM anchor Karen Davila on who will “call the shots” should the odds not be in their favor, Aguas replied: “Neither I nor Arnel will call the shots. I-aano [ipapaubaya] po namin kay Mama Guapa.”
“Even if I will get to call the shots, I will still not do it.”
On Sunday, Granada’s cousin, Joseph, posted a statement on behalf of Cowley.
It said that the actress “still remains in the same state and everyone is anxious to see her wake up, considering that her vital signs remain stable.”
Their family also expressed their gratitude to all those who continue to pray for Granada.
