It is also freakishly thin
While Acer has been getting a lot of buzz for its insanely expensive Predator laptops (and recently, desktops), let’s not forget that they also make desktops that people who don’t have deep pockets can afford. When they do, it’s freaking slim and stylish at the same time.
Enter the Aspire S24.
The newest addition to Acer’s growing family of desktops. An all-in-one PC, the black-and-gold clad workhorse boasts of a 23.8-inch Full HD IPS display that has an insane 90% screen-to-body ratio (for reference, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 has an 83.2% screen-to-body ratio with its Infinity Display). That gorgeous display measures only 5.97mm thick—making the S24 sporting one of the thinnest PC displays in its class. It is also a breeze to use the display, as it is tiltable from -5 to 30 degrees, in addition to having display tech such as Acer ExaColor, BluelightShield and Flickerless so that you can work with the S24 for hours without your eyes getting tired.
Of course, the S24 is not all style. Powering it is Intel’s 8th Generation Core processors, with an option for Intel’s Optane memory tech—a new innovation from Intel that helps users power through heavy daily tasks with ease. It’s also well-equipped with ports: you have 3x USB 3.0, 1x USB-C, 2x HDMI, A LAN port, and a Qi Wireless charging pad on its base for your Qi-equipped gadgets. For storage options, you can avail of up to 256GB in SSD storage or up to 2TB of HDD storage, depending on your needs. While it is slim, it has a solid audio setup with its 2.1 Channel sound system coupled with Dolby Audio™ Premium and Acer’s TrueHarmony for the best audio quality possible.
The S24 will be made available in the US in January 2018 and in Europe, Middle East, and Asia in November 2017. Prices start at $999 (~Php 51.2k).
