GMA News and Public Affairs’ disaster preparedness campaign IMReady is bound to take radio by storm as Kapuso resident meteorologist Nathaniel ‘Mang Tani’ Cruz hosts I M Ready sa Dobol B on Super Radyo DZBB.
Every Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., I M Ready sa Dobol B airs a variety of comprehensive weather reports, weather trivia, and tips on how to be prepared for different types of calamities. It also has a well-known segment Magtanong kay Mang Tani, which allows listeners to call in or send an SMS to Mang Tani for any weather or disaster-related questions.
Mang Tani, who is regularly seen on various GMA news programs, is glad to have the chance to share more of his expertise and at the same time educate more people on the importance of being ready for any disaster that could come in our way.
“When they created the I M Ready project, the intention is really to instill readiness on the people. And then imagine we have 20 tropical cyclones a year, talagang kailangang maging handa tayo.
Through this radio program, it is much evident how dedicated Mang Tani is about inculcating the importance of being prepared for all types of risks that are caused not only by natural forces but also of those that are caused by people.
Fittingly dubbed as ekspertong totoo, Mang Tani has more than two decades of experience in weathercasting. Prior to his stint on GMA, he previously worked in PAG-ASA and in the Bureau of Meteorology in Australia.
