5 p.m. – BFP vs AFP

THE GSIS Furies battle the DOH Health Achievers at 2 p.m. in the UNTV Cup Season 6 at the Pasig City Sports Center on Sunday.

The Furies and the Health Achievers, who both have 1-2 records, must win their two remaining games in order to advance to the second-round of eliminations, which begin on December 14.

Meanwhile, the DOJ Justice Boosters are adamant to bounce back and claim their second win when they play the PDEA Drug Busters at 3:30 p.m. after losing to two-time champion Judiciary Magis in a double overtime classic on Oct. 29.

BFP’s Rob Wainwright blocks the attempt of DOH’s Leonardo Nidoy during their teams’ elimination-round match in the UNTV Cup Season 6. On Sunday, the BFP Firefighters face the AFP Cavaliers.

Despite the loss, DOJ head coach John Agbayani Jr. is satisfied with his team’s performance.

“Maganda ang laro. Happy kami sa ipinakita ng DOJ team kasi lumaban kami hanggang dulo,” Agbayani said.

The DOJ team plans to intensify its training for future games, with an eye on the quarterfinals.

“Every team naman ngayon sobrang hirap kalaban. So every practice namin, we consider it talagang importante kasi ang hirap ng mga schedule ng players ko. So every time na nagpa-practice kami, isinusulit talaga namin ‘yung practice,” Agbayani said. “Mahaba pa naman yung season so, hopefully makapag-adjust yung team… maka abot kami sa quarter finals.”

DOJ has a 1-2 mark, while PDEA has yet to win after three games.

In the third game, the BFP Firefighters take on the AFP Cavaliers at 5 p.m.
