FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and the world’s largest express transportation company, recently launched two service facilities in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, and Clark, Pampanga that aim to support FedEx operations within the Philippines and neighboring countries in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
The Philippines is important to the FedEx growth strategy in APAC, making it an optimal location for long-term infrastructure investments. Located in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, the Philippine IT Center joins centers in Singapore and Hong Kong as the third regional software development center for APAC solutions enhancement. Meanwhile, the APAC Trade Facilitation Center in Clark, Pampanga performs clearance preparation work such as data management, profile matching, and other administrative tasks, to support APAC markets including Japan and Singapore.
With a combined worth of US$2.15 million, the new centers are part of the Next Generation Office design implementation in all FedEx APAC facilities. The FedEx Taguig and Pampanga sites are equipped with the latest technologies that aim to enhance collaboration, promote learning, offer flexible working environments, and improve employee mobility.
“With trade thriving in the Philippines and across APAC, it is necessary to keep pace with advanced facilities to ensure that we keep our Purple Promise to make every customer experience outstanding,” said John Peterson, FedEx Express managing director for the Philippines. “At FedEx we are extremely proud to reinforce our long-term commitment to the Philippines through these new centers. This development has also enabled us to create jobs as we have welcomed new FedEx team members to support these facilities.”
