IT isn’t rare in this day and age to see young people huddled in conversation while flaunting, puffing so-called E-cigarettes.
On school campuses, well at least in their vicinity, one could see young people smoking away, holding that electronic gadget that substitutes for the real thing, tobacco.
But, how effective are e-cigarettes in curbing the smoking habit, especially among the young?
Not so effective, according to a Reuters Health story by Will Boggs, MD.
Boggs wrote that a study shows that with the swift development of the utilization of the e-cigarettes by teenagers, general tobacco use has likewise expanded.
According to Dr. Jessica L. Barrington-Trimis from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, e-cigarettes promotes, rather than discourages the youth from smoking.
Researchers said that schools and parents should suggest disapproval of these e-devices to protect the health of their children.
The study also said that nicotine will always be present and could also be delivered into the blood stream with some fine particles.
By the way, the anti-smoking law will soon be implemented nationwide. Abangan.
