UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor finds himself in a bit of heat after assaulting referee Marc Goddard and Bellator staff member.
The Irishman was part of the crowd present at the 3Arena in Dublin for Bellator 187 where teammate Charlie Ward took on John Redmond. Ward finished off Redmond with a left hook in the first round and McGregor ended up rushing towards the cage as he wanted to celebrate with “The Relentless.”
Things went astray with Goodard pulled McGregor away from Ward. “The Notorious” took exception and ended up shoving the referee, the Bleacher Report reported. Check out the video below.

This is not the first time that McGregor and Goodard have collided. At UFC Fight Night 118 in Poland, McGregor was trying to give Artem Lobov instructions. Goodard sent off the UFC champion because he was not an official cornerman.

It remains to be seen if McGregor would be sanctioned for his actions. According to MMA Junkie: “There’s no immediate word on possible repercussions for McGregor, though it’s likely outside of the MTDAR’s and ABC’s jurisdiction. Instead, any penalties would likely have to come from a commission that regulates and licenses him for any of his future fights.”
