The dream of taking a perfect portrait with a device that instantly separates your subject from the background with utmost precision, to capturing aggressive wildlife in action from the distance, or snapping picturesque monuments and landscapes, is made more convenient and exciting with the lightest in the Canon EOS full-frame DSLR line yet – the EOS 6D Mark II.
“The EOS 6D Mark II is our lightest DSLR with a powerful full-frame sensor, packed into a nimble and compact body that makes it easy to carry around. It’s an excellent balance between compact design and superior performance,” said Benny Yu, Consumer Group Director of Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. (CMPI).
The EOS 6D Mark II is equipped with a 26.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and a shooting speed of up to 6.5 fps that delivers exceptionally clear images even under low light conditions and produces an impressive background blur effect – which is usually the output seen through the use of large sensors. The brand new Panning function, specially created by Canon, analyzes panning speed and automatically selects the optimal shutter speed to keep moving subjects in focus while enhancing the background blur.
With enhanced ISO speed of 40,000 to 102,400, coupled with the DIGIC 7 image processor and the sensitivity of the center AF point rated at -3EV allows users to acquire focus and produce crisp image quality even in dim lighting (roughly equivalent to light cast by a full moon). It has a 7560 pixel RGB+IR metering sensor, color detection AF that detects skin tones, and lens aberration correction settings, which automatically detects the lens paired, and corrects distortion and diffraction at the time of shooting.
Travelers and photography lovers can also enjoy shooting from either a high or low angle with the Vari-angle touch LCD screen that adds more variety and photo options to choose from. The Intelligent Viewfinder saves the user time by making it easier to access all shooting information without looking away from the viewfinder.
Canon ensures that photographers won’t forget, and keep record of the places they’ve photographed and visited with the GPS receiver where they can log coordinates for each image and store them as metadata. Battery won’t be a problem too, as the optional battery grip (BG-E21) that houses 2 pieces of LP-E6N batteries is programmed to function for hours.
