The graft trial of former Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. on Thursday was moved to January 25 after both the prosecution and defense made a request to check that their accurately reflect the final version of the pre-trial order.
The Sandiganbayan First Division, headed by Associate Justice Efren De La Cruz, gave both sides two days to review and submit ‘once and for all’ the final version of the pre-trial order and make their final through e-mail.
Revilla is facing one count of plunderand 16 counts of graft over the supposed of the misuse of his priority development assistance fund (PDAF), which he reportedly endorsed to the bogus non-government organizations (NGOs) headed by Janet Lim Napoles in exchange for kickbacks.
He is currently detained in the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
As for his plunder charge, the court refused twice his motion for leave to file demurrer to evidence.
Filing a demurrer to evidence is an act contesting that the evidence offered in the case is insufficient.
