Triple Ube Macapuno Delight

The Philippines’ very own ube, the latest ingredient and trend taking over the culinary world, is highlighted through the Triple Ube Macapuno Delight at the Andrew Cafe.

This enhanced reinvention of the traditional classic combines three fluffy layers of purple yam chiffon cake, thoroughly coated in between with luscious preservative-free ube halaya done from scratch, then fully blanketed by crunchy ube crumble bits.

The confection is topped with succulent macapuno then crowned with piped cream cheese.

This dessert, along with several other cakes and pastries, are original creations of chefs Timothy Robert Gonzalez and Erna Canatoy.

Andrew Café is in De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Taft Campus, corner Estrada and Leon Guinto Streets in Malate, Manila.
