Autostrada Motore, distributor of Ferrari in the Philippines, celebrated its fifth year of operations with several reasons to celebrate. The event was held in their newly renovated showring in Bonifacio Global City.
“We opened our doors to the public in 2012, and we’ve been bringing one of the best, most powerful, and most recognized car brands to the Philippines ever since. Having delivered five years of the highest quality of customer service to our clients, our commitment to uphold this standard for the next 5, 10, 15 years has only gotten stronger,” said Wellington Soong, Chairman and president of Autostrada Motore.
Serving as the highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Ferrari 488 Spider super car. The 488 Spider provides an open-top alternative to the 488 GTB. It is powered by the same 3.9-liter twin turbo V8 engine found on the 488 GTB. Power output is rated at 670-PS with torque of 760-Nm. This allows it to accelerate from 0-100km/h in three seconds. Autostrada’s first 488 unit is finished in the iconic Ferrari red.
Besides the new model, Autostrada’s also had a victory to celebrate at the very capable hands of Ferrari Challenge driver, Angie King. King is waving the Philippine flag in the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific Trofeo Pirelli AM class Championship, competing against other drivers from the reason. Though only joining the series on the fourth round, held in Fuji Speedway in Japan, King has already managed to score podium finishes. She scored second place during her debut at Fuji, promptly following it up with a victory in the fifth round in Sepang. This puts King at fourth place overall in her class, with two more rounds in Singapore and in Mugello, Italy left in the season.Autostrada Motore will continue to support her throughout the rest of the Ferrari Challenge series.
With a milestone, new model and victory to celebrate, Autostrada hopes these achievements will keep clients and Ferrari fans thrilled and excited about the brand.
