Three hundred computer units were given to six schools in Valenzuela City by the city government during the inauguration of the schools’ new computer laboratories on Thursday.
Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian, together with the city’s schools division office, headed the blessing ceremonies of the new computer laboratories in Malanday National High School, Veinte Reales National High School, Lingunan National High School, Desiplina Village Bignay National High School, Paso de Blas National High School and Justice Eliezer delos Santos National High School.
Each school received 50 brand-new computers, two printers and a projector, the city government said.
Aside from being equipped with broadband internet connection, the computer laboratories of the six schools were also renovated, with new tiles and air-conditioning units installed.
The city government said it spent P22 million to set up the new computer laboratories.
Gatchalian assured the students that the city government would not stop giving their schools innovative facilities if they continue to get good grades, top academic and extra-curricular competitions and bring in medals and pride for the city.
“We will never have second doubts in investing for our schools,” Gatchalian said.
