Four mild tectonic earthquakes shook Davao provinces today, Nov. 10, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
However, the state agency reported no damage or injury when these four tremors struck in the two provinces in southern Mindanao region this morning.
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said a 3.7 magnitude earthquake was registered at 8:19 a.m.
The epicenter was plotted 14 kilometers southeast of Cateel town, Davao Oriental province, it said.
The tremor had a depth of 23 km., Phivolcs said.
Earlier, a magnitude 3.1 tremor was recorded at 7:48 a.m. today.
The epicenter was traced 116 km southeast of Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental province, with a depth of 66 km, Phivolcs said.
At 6:42 a.m. today, a 2.6 magnitude earthquake was also registered and its epicenter was located 176 km southeast of Sarangani of that same province, with a depth of 80 km, it also said.
Another 2.7 magnitude earthquake was also recorded at 6:36 a.m. today and its epicenter was located only 5 km away northwest from the town proper of Malita, also of Davao Occidental province, with a depth of 126 km, the state agency added.
The regional office of the Southern Mindanao Office of Civil Defense (OCD) reported no damage or injury when these four tectonic earthquakes struck in the said provinces this morning.
