CAMP PRESIDENT QUIRINO, Ilocos Sur — Three people were killed and two more injured in separate vehicular accidents in the province the other day, police said.
In Candon City, one Jerome Garabilez, 25, was killed after the motorcycle he was riding on crashed into a concrete barrier on the left shoulder of the national highway in Barangay Balingaoan at 4:35 a.m. Wednesday.
Probers said Garabilez was one of the two back-riders of the motorcycle driven by overseas Filipino worker Niel A. Evangelista, 27. Evangelista and his other back-raider, Dexter Abaya, 26, were also wounded in the accident.
A few hours earlier, a collision between two motorcycles in Barangay Bungro, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur resulted in the deaths of Romel del Rosario, 41, of Barangay Pug-os, Cabugao, and Antonio Gabriel, of Barangay 17, Pinili, Ilocos Norte.
Police were still investigating how the accident happened.
